Hey dear reader
Bali: The island of wonders !
Back to Bali: How It All Began
Nine years ago I was also in Bali, and I actually found it way too crowded. I really thought: "I'll never come back here." But look, here I am again, and more in love than ever with this coconut paradise!

First Stop: Canggu
Our first stop was Canggu, the place to be for trendy restaurants, beach clubs, bars and boutiques. No must-sees here, but mainly pure enjoyment of the best food, surfing, partying and shopping.
On my birthday we treated ourselves to something special: cocktails at Finns Beach Club (even danced there, what an atmosphere!). Then we had dinner at Penny Lane , where we were greeted by glass ceilings full of hanging plants and delicious food. The perfect start to the trip!
Cultural Heart: Ubud
Ubud… where do I start? Busy, chaotic traffic, but somehow I loved it! Every corner of Ubud hides a new surprise: a quiet temple, a rice field, or a cozy alley.
We started early with the Campuhan Ridge Walk and later went on to explore the famous Tegalalang Rice Terraces . Monkey Forest was also a must (watch out for those naughty monkeys!), and then we visited the iconic Pura Ulun Danu Bratan Temple .
Island paradise: Nusa Lembongan & Ceningan
Absolute gems! The islands are connected by the yellow “Bridge of Love,” and our stay at Stardust Villas offered fantastic views. We explored Jungut Batu Beach , Dream Beach , and more hidden coves by scooter. And that blue water – you won’t believe your eyes!
We also took a day trip to Nusa Penida , where we snorkeled with manta rays and colorful corals. So breathtaking, just like in Finding Nemo !
Calm & Charming: Amed
Amed, a quiet village with its black volcanic beaches. Three days were far too short! Here we enjoyed magical sunsets and visited the viewpoint at Mount Agung. Those volcanic beaches and Balinese boats at sunset! Just magical.
Final stop: Uluwatu
Our trip ended in Uluwatu, the surfers’ paradise. High cliffs, clear blue water, and beautiful beaches… a place to be! We enjoyed the sunset at the Pura Luhur Uluwatu temple and saw the Kecak fire dance – an incredibly impressive experience!

Bali Tips & Tricks
1. Transportation Apps: Gojek & Grab are indispensable
2. Scooter Rental: Costs about €6 per day.
3. SIM card: Telkomsel
